These are notes and insights gleaned by the project team looking at outpatient care for the Veterans Choice Program (hereafter referred to as Choice). These notes are organized by some of the Choice data areas we have looked into.

VA data come from a variety of sources and are processed in multiple different systems. The figure below provides a general overview of VA data streams, including those for Choice data.
